Rules and Eligibility 
 
Age Groups:
  0-11 months: Baby Miss Queen of Hope                   12-23 months: Tiny Miss Queen of Hope
  2-3   years: Toddler Miss Queen of Hope                    4-5 years: Petite Miss Queen of Hope
  6-8   years: Little Miss Queen of Hope                        9-11 years: Deb Miss Queen of Hope
12-13 years: Junior Miss Queen of Hope                      14-16 years: Teen Miss Queen of Hope
17-22 years: Miss Queen of Hope                                22 yrs & Up: Ms. Division 
                                                                                Grandma Miss La. Queen of Hope
 
To Qualify:
You must be a resident of Louisiana, must not have been married and is expected to remain single during your reign of one year if chosen Queen.  Must never have borne a child or be pregnant during your reign or ever been charged with any crime.
 
Queen Requirements:
The Miss, Teen & Jr. Miss Queens are asked to sign a Queens Contract.  If the crowned Queen should marry, become pregnant or be charged with any crime, during her reign, she relinquishes her crown to the 1st runner up. 
The Queen will be asked to go out into the community and represent her title and the American Cancer Society at various events.  All queens are welcome to participate and attend these same functions.  Some of the events within Avoyelles Parish will include: Avoyelles Relay for Life, Marksville 4th of July Parade, Cottonport Christmas Parade, Cochon de Lait Festival, Corn Festival and events scheduled as fundraisers for the Queen of Hope Foundation or American Cancer Society.  The Miss Queen is asked to not hold any other titles that would distract her from her required appearances as Queen of Hope.
 
Judging Categories: 
As a contestant in the Teen,Miss and Ms. categories, you will be judged in three categories- Sportswear, Eveningwear and Interview.  Sportswear consist of casual attire.  Eveningwear should be an age appropriate style and a color of your choice. 
Deb Miss Queen of Hope contestants will participate in the Eveningwear category.
Baby, Tiny, Toddler, Petite and Little Miss will participate in the Sunday's Best category.  No pageant attire is allowed in this category.  Contestants are required to come in Sunday's Best.
There is no performing talent competition.
 
Optional Photogenic Competition:
Contestants are welcomed to participate in this competition.  Each division will have a winner.  Contestants can submitted 5 x 7 labeled photo in a zip-top plastic bag.  Photos can be submitted at $5.00 per photo.
 
The 2012 Miss Louisiana Queen of Hope Pageant will be held at the Mari Center at Paragon Casino Resort on January 7 in Marksville.
