The Queen of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to contribute funds to the American Cancer Society. All proceeds from entry fees, admissions, sponsorships, yearly fundraisers, etc are donated by the Foundation to the American Cancer Society.
The Miss Louisiana Queen of Hope Pageant was started in 2005 by the late Shane Andre' Sampson and his wife Allison Ravare-Sampson. They wanted to start a pageant that everyone could relate to. Everyone has been touched by or come in contact with someone fighting this deadly disease, cancer.
Shane Sampson passed away in June of 2005 but his pageant and dream still lives on through his wife and pageant director Allison Ravare-Sampson and the Co-Director Jessica Sanchez Couvillion.
